Sportradar, a global sports technology company, is seeking a Global Payroll Accountant to support payroll accounting activities across the US and Rest of World (ROW) countries. This role is based in Vienna and operates on an office-first model with four days per week in-office. Key Responsibilities: - Control workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely - Prepare internal payroll reports and develop ad hoc financial reporting as needed - Execute month-end tasks including payroll-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax compliance for US and ROW countries - Ensure compliance with SOX requirements - Support internal and external audits - Support payroll tax, statutory, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions - Ensure payroll processes and accounting practices align with company policies and local regulations - Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies - Identify opportunities to improve payroll accounting processes and reporting - Maintain confidentiality and security of records and information The role involves working with a global team across multiple time zones and requires strong organizational and analytical capabilities. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - 3+ years of payroll accounting or accounting experience, preferably with global payroll exposure (US and ROW) - Strong understanding of U.S. payroll and familiarity with international payroll practices - Experience with payroll reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, month-end close and audits - Strong Excel and analytical skills; experience with payroll systems preferred - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Detail oriented, highly organized, and analytical - Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to work effectively with teams across multiple countries and time zones - Discreet and trustworthy with confidential materials
