Megazone Cloud US, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner headquartered in Seoul, is seeking a GCP Practice Lead to join a 22-person dedicated team delivering multicloud managed services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) across ~155 cloud accounts for a major automotive enterprise client.
You will own Google Cloud end-to-end: establishing architecture and governance standards, managing the client relationship for GCP workloads, and leading the transition of GCP billing and resale from the incumbent partner. This is a leadership role with a small GCP team reporting to you, and you may also assume Azure architectural oversight depending on consolidation decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the GCP practice: define architecture standards, landing zones, organization/folder/project structure, IAM, and policy frameworks
- Own GCP governance and align it with AWS CCoE standards to present a unified operating model across all three cloud platforms
- Serve as the primary technical client contact for GCP: conduct service reviews, manage roadmaps, handle escalations, and engage business units
- Manage the transition of GCP billing and resale from the incumbent partner, including billing account structure, committed use discounts, and support continuity
- Lead and develop GCP operations engineers; establish standards and review their work
- Own GCP cost management and reporting in partnership with the FinOps architect
- Assume Azure architectural oversight if consolidation is confirmed
The role requires onsite presence in Irvine, CA during standard US Pacific business hours, with regular early-morning and evening calls with Megazone HQ and client teams in Korea (KST is 16 hours ahead of Pacific). You will be a senior escalation point, including for out-of-hours issues. Work is delivered through documented ITIL-style processes: tickets, change control, runbooks, and post-incident reviews.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- 8+ years in cloud infrastructure, including 4+ years leading on Google Cloud at enterprise scale
- GCP architecture depth: organization and project hierarchy, VPC and hybrid networking, IAM, GKE, Cloud SQL, logging and monitoring
- Proven experience owning a practice, service, or team (not solely individual-contributor architect)
- Client-facing seniority: able to run service reviews and manage difficult conversations with enterprise stakeholders
- Understanding of GCP commercial mechanics: billing accounts, committed use discounts, reseller and partner billing transitions
- Ability to work onsite in Irvine, CA
- Authorization to work in the US (sponsorship to be confirmed)
- Ability to pass client background screening and work within SOC 2 control environment
Nice to have:
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification
- Korean language ability
- Experience taking over a cloud estate from an incumbent partner
- Credible Azure architecture background
- MSP or consultancy delivery background
