Salary: USD 170,000 - 205,000 / annual
Seeq is seeking an exceptional full stack software engineer at the Staff or Principal level to design and develop features across their data analytics platform end-to-end. You will own features from React-based frontend applications through backend services, APIs, and data layers, serving industrial sectors including pharmaceuticals, energy, and manufacturing.
In this role, you will lead the design and development of complex features spanning the entire stack. You'll work closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to understand user needs, make sound technical decisions, and deliver high-quality software that solves real problems. You will own features end-to-end, building intuitive frontend experiences while working confidently in backend services, databases, and distributed systems. A key part of your contribution will be mentoring and guiding other engineers, raising the quality bar across the team through code review, pairing, and technical leadership. You'll also bring fresh technologies and approaches to the organization, with thoughtful consideration of how AI is changing software development.
You are a highly productive engineer with a strong track record of delivering complex features across frontend and backend systems. You identify areas for improvement proactively and ship with consistency in a continuous delivery model. You are meticulous and detail-oriented, advocating for testing, continuous integration, and clean solutions while actively reducing technical debt. You collaborate effectively through code review, pairing, and clear communication, maintaining a product- and user-focused mindset. You bring strong ownership and agency, finding gaps and driving improvements through to completion. You work across boundaries for the benefit of the product and its users, maintaining open communication about growth opportunities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- Substantial professional experience in software development: 6+ years for Staff level, 10+ years for Principal level
- Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Expertise in one or more backend JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, or Scala)
- Experience working with databases such as Postgres
- Expertise in building large frontend applications with React or TypeScript (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively across frontend and backend codebases, owning features end-to-end
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with great attention to detail
- Proven leadership skills with ability to guide and mentor junior engineers
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team environments
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum or Kanban)
