Extreme Networks is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer with 2.6–3 years of experience to develop backend services and mobile/web frontends using GoLang and Flutter.
You will be responsible for:
- Building scalable backend services and REST APIs using GoLang
- Developing responsive, user-friendly UI applications with Flutter/Dart
- Integrating frontend applications with backend services via REST APIs, JSON, and authentication mechanisms
- Understanding and implementing end-to-end application flows across distributed systems
- Collaborating with Product, UI/UX, QA, and Engineering teams to translate requirements into high-quality features
- Adopting modern engineering practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, code reviews, and Agile methodologies
- Leveraging AI-powered developer tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to enhance coding, debugging, test generation, and documentation
- Working with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems
This role is ideal for a versatile engineer who is comfortable across multiple technology stacks and eager to adopt AI-assisted development practices. A background in networking (wireless/wired protocols, network management, or networking products) is a plus but not required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2.6–3 years of professional software development experience
- Strong programming fundamentals, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Hands-on experience with GoLang for backend services and REST APIs
- Good hands-on experience with Flutter/Dart and UI development (responsive design, reusable components, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, UI/UX principles)
- Experience integrating UI/Flutter applications with REST APIs and backend services
- Understanding of cloud-based applications, microservices, and distributed systems
- Strong hands-on experience with AI-powered developer tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar)
- Good understanding of Git, CI/CD, unit testing, code reviews, Agile development, and software engineering best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively across Product, UI/UX, QA, and Engineering teams
- Added advantage: Knowledge of wireless/wired networking concepts, network management, or networking products
