Base is a next-generation power company deploying distributed battery networks to transform the centralized electrical grid into a resilient, abundant system. The Core Experience team owns the member journey in software, from initial website visit through real-time app engagement.
In this role, you will own the full member journey end-to-end, spanning discovery, checkout, activation, and ongoing engagement. Key responsibilities include:
- Building the discovery and checkout experience with accurate plans and pricing across all addresses, products, and markets
- Developing the activation experience including photo submission, live status tracking, and internal tools coordinating members, operators, utilities, and install crews
- Transforming live battery telemetry into clear in-app experiences: real-time outage status, self-explanatory billing, and battery performance metrics
- Shipping across the full stack (database, API, UI) and defining success metrics
- Partnering cross-functionally with design, growth, deployments, and member support to build self-serve capabilities informed by support data
Base operates in three states with expansion planned for several more in coming months. The role requires shipping a platform that enables efficient market launches through configuration rather than custom builds, ensuring consistent member experience at scale.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience building production software in product or full-stack engineering roles
- Strong experience designing system architecture for complex web applications
- Track record of owning products or platforms from concept through launch and iteration
- Strong product judgment and demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous ideas into shipped, useful products
- Ability to work across the stack and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
- Ready to work with intensity and urgency while maintaining high output standards
