Productions is ElevenLabs' managed services division for creators and media businesses, combining AI audio tools with human expertise in linguistics, mixing, and post-production to deliver dubbed content, audiobooks, and more in 15+ languages. Customers include global media broadcasters, publishers, gaming companies, and major film studios.
You will build the systems behind Productions, focusing on platforms where human expertise and AI work together. The role offers three potential scopes:
1. Human Data Platform: Build the labelling and evaluation platform that research teams use to continuously improve models. Ship new task editors, improve reliability, catch misuse, and build metrics for higher-quality data pipelines.
2. Core Productions Engine: Build and maintain the backend services that run production workflows. This is the infrastructure nobody sees but everybody relies on, with opportunities to lead projects.
3. Editor Platform: Build professional editing tools in Rust that production teams use daily, combining UI systems with deep understanding of underlying infrastructure.
You'll own a clear scope and the outcome. The work is primarily building with minimal hand-holding. This is professional tool and core infrastructure work, not consumer features.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong backend engineering experience, ideally in functional programming languages like Rust, with full-stack focus on designing UI systems
- Shipped and run production systems end to end
- Experience making systems reliable and scalable (internal platforms, workflow/task engines, data pipelines)
- Comfortable switching between building new tools/editors and hardening platform infrastructure
- Able to lead projects when opportunities arise
- Opinionated, able to defend ideas, but pragmatic about grinding through unglamorous work
BONUS:
- Experience building editor or UI-heavy professional tools with systems-level understanding
- Experience with data labelling/annotation platforms or managing crowdsourced workforces
