Epidemic Sound is a global music licensing and streaming platform with 400+ employees across offices in Stockholm, London, New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, Oslo, and Seoul. The company combines cutting-edge technology with a startup mentality to transform how creators and platforms discover and license music.
As a Full Stack Engineer on the Monetization team, you will help shape how millions of users discover and select Epidemic Sound subscription plans. The Monetization team owns the entire commercial stack: subscriptions, upsells, credit top-ups, and add-ons. The team operates on a culture of experimentation, running A/B tests to validate hypotheses and drive adoption.
You will join two experienced full stack engineers, working across both frontend and backend systems. This role carries real architectural scope—you'll influence technical decisions on both sides of the stack as the team ships new features and retires legacy systems. You'll work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Write production-ready code across backend and frontend—stable, well-tested, and designed for longevity—to ship features and advance technical strategy
- Conduct thoughtful code reviews for engineers across the team and beyond
- Participate in and lead technical discovery sessions, solving problems collaboratively
- Partner closely with Product Managers to build deep product and business understanding
- Share in a company-wide on-call rotation (flexible frequency)
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building production software across the full stack
- Backend experience in Go, or another modern backend language (Python, Java, or similar)
- Frontend experience writing clean, maintainable code in TypeScript and React
- Comfortable working AI-first, with agentic tools as part of everyday development
- Strong communication skills and genuine enjoyment of collaborating with others
- Appetite to grow technically and in understanding of product and business
