You will join the Creative Voices team, which owns voice and speech products within ElevenCreative, including Text-to-Speech, Speech-to-Text, Voice Changer, Voice Isolator, Voice Library, and Voice Cloning. This is a small, high-impact team turning frontier speech research into products used by millions.
As a backend-leaning full-stack engineer, you will own backend architecture and production systems while working closely with research engineering and security teams. Your responsibilities include:
- Modernizing voice architecture, including data models, storage, and APIs
- Making voice cloning and fine-tuning pipelines reliable through monitoring, retries, and failure recovery
- Building voice creation, verification, and recommendation capabilities
- Owning workstreams from design to production, including frontend changes where needed

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong backend engineering experience building and scaling high-traffic production systems
- Strong system design and database fundamentals, including data modeling, concurrency, migrations, and security
- Experience operating production services, with strong debugging, monitoring, and failure recovery skills
- Independent ownership, clear communication, and drive to ship quickly with confidence working across the stack
- Engineering fundamentals valued over specific languages or databases
- Prior audio experience not required
- Experience modernizing complex systems or building in high-growth companies is a plus
