MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform serving 13,000+ customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo. The platform manages 13.9 million assets and 79.5 million completed work orders, helping industrial and frontline teams reduce unplanned downtime.
The Platform & Infrastructure team owns the shared services, tooling, and foundations that enable all product teams to build and ship reliably. This includes identity, search, communication, the Pantry design system, developer productivity tools, CI/CD, SRE, and compliance infrastructure.
In this role, you will ship features end-to-end from planning through production. You'll partner directly with Product Managers, Designers, and engineers who depend on your work to shape the team's roadmap. You'll own a feature area or system's long-term health—reliability, performance, and the critical infrastructure others depend on. You'll review code, mentor teammates, and raise the bar on tooling, testing, and delivery practices.
You'll join a team of 5–10 engineers and take on-call rotation. Within your first 6 months, you'll own a feature area or system outright. The core stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MySQL; some teams use C# or Python.
MaintainX operates with flexible in-office expectations but prefers teams located near office hubs in Montreal or Toronto. Compensation includes base pay, and depending on the role, may include commission, annual bonus, and equity. Benefits vary by country; Canadian benefits cover health, retirement, and leave.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of professional experience building full-stack web or mobile products
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Experience with mobile-first, responsive, iterative development
- Track record of writing maintainable, testable code you're comfortable handing off
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical tradeoffs to designers, support leads, and developers
- Comfort making progress on problems before specs are fully settled, adjusting as you learn
- Day-to-day use of AI tools in your development workflow, not just occasional experimentation
- Nice to have: GraphQL, React Native, SQL database experience, search technology, authentication/identity, design systems, developer tooling, IDE extensions, CI/CD, observability, or compliance programs (FedRAMP, SOC 2)
