Cape is America's privacy-first mobile carrier, founded in 2022 with a mission to provide secure, private wireless connectivity to consumers, businesses, and government agencies. The company recently closed its Series C in March 2026 and is scaling rapidly.
You will be Cape's first FP&A Manager, responsible for building and scaling the company's financial forecasting, planning, and reporting infrastructure. This is a high-impact role that bridges analytical rigor with strategic business partnership.
Key responsibilities include:
**Planning & Forecasting:** Partner with leadership to build annual budgets and maintain monthly forecasts in collaboration with RevOps and Consumer Analytics teams.
**Reporting & Analysis:** Own monthly budget-vs-actuals and variance analysis; maintain integrated financial models (operating model, 3-statement, scenario/sensitivity analysis); define and track KPIs; build dashboards for real-time visibility into business performance; assist in preparing board materials, investor updates, and executive operating reviews.
**Business Partnership:** Serve as an embedded finance partner to business leaders, translating priorities into actionable business cases to support capital allocation; partner with RevOps, accounting, consumer analytics, and operations to build scalable systems and automation.
Cape operates with a flat structure emphasizing high trust, high expectations, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work alongside world-class engineers and architects to solve mission-critical problems.
**Requirements:**
- 4+ years in corporate finance, business operations, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with at least 2 years at a technology company
- Track record owning a planning cycle and partnering with senior/executive stakeholders
- Advanced financial modeling skills (building from scratch, not template-editing); strong Excel/Google Sheets required; SQL strongly preferred
- Familiarity with modern FP&A/ERP stacks (NetSuite, Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, Vareto, Looker/Tableau/Sigma)
- Strong business-partnering instincts; ability to translate numbers into narratives and influence without authority
- Thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication, especially for executive audiences
- Ownership mentality with bias toward building and automating rather than manual processes
