Dryft builds AI models that automate complex human decisions in manufacturing operations. The company captures knowledge from experienced operators across supply chain, production planning, and engineering, then uses simulation and reasoning to help manufacturers optimize their business. Customers include some of the world's largest robotics, machine, and component manufacturers. As a Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you will build the core system that decides how major manufacturers operate, combining agent-based reasoning with mathematical optimization and simulation on large-scale industrial data. Key responsibilities: - Build trustworthy AI agents that run factory operations; the largest industrial companies must trust these agents with critical processes and understand every decision made - Own features end-to-end across the LLM pipeline, infrastructure, backend, and frontend, shipping to production - Work directly with end users (factory planners) to understand their needs and build solutions that make their work 10x faster - Develop routing, orchestration, and guardrails that ensure agent reliability and transparency You will have unusual ownership early on with real responsibility for what ships and how it impacts manufacturing operations. Tech stack: Frontend (TypeScript) uses React, Chakra UI v3, TanStack Router/Query, and Vite. Backend (Python) uses FastAPI with Pydantic v2, Temporal, Postgres with pgvector, and Dagster. AI layer uses Pydantic AI and Langfuse. The team is small and talent-dense, including Stanford and Berkeley graduates, hackathon winners, and people who have built robots, race cars, and software with millions of downloads. The company is backed by founders and operators from legendary tech companies, Tier-1 U.S. venture firms, and board members from global industrial companies. REQUIREMENTS: - Full-stack shipping experience: production code end-to-end, scalable backend and infrastructure handling massive structured and unstructured data, frontend development - Highly technical background with experience building something technically hard; able to articulate design decisions - Strong product sense: ability to identify features from user feedback and make pragmatic trade-offs - Attention to detail and root-cause analysis; commitment to getting critical systems right - Sense of urgency and bias toward shipping - Willingness to relocate to Munich or San Francisco for onsite work (visa support provided)
