Salary: USD 180,000 - 230,000 / annual
monday.com is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the technical spearhead for AI transformation initiatives with the company's most strategic customers. In this hybrid role (3 days/week in NYC office), you will carry a portfolio of 1-2 strategic accounts, embedding deeply with C-level and technical teams to architect, build, and ship AI solutions in production.
You will own the complete lifecycle of customer engagements: from discovery and architecture through build, rollout, and measurable adoption. Your success is measured by business outcomes—adoption rates, workflow throughput, and measurable ROI—not just delivery. You will work with monday AI agents, MCP-based integrations, vibe apps, and production workflows to solve complex, mission-critical business problems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Embedding with C-level stakeholders to architect end-to-end AI solutions and scalable workflows
- Owning outcome metrics from pilot through full production rollout
- Designing platform configurations, building monday agents and vibe apps, wiring MCP integrations, and prototyping custom scripts
- Instrumenting deployments, running evals against real customer workflows, and translating findings into product requirements and roadmap input
- Partnering with Sales and Customer Success as the technical authority on account strategy
- Productizing patterns, agents, and assets from individual accounts into reusable machinery for the broader motion
This is an autonomous, high-visibility role that shapes both customer outcomes and the future of forward deployed engineering at monday.com. You will have a direct line into the product roadmap and outcome-based success criteria agreed before work begins.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years building applications from scratch using TypeScript/Node.js/React, with full-stack depth
- Experience leading hands-on projects end-to-end in production environments, preferably client-facing
- Background in Solution Architecture or Software Engineering with strong grasp of AI/LLM systems: agent architectures, MCP or comparable tool-use protocols, evals, and prompt-to-production workflows
- Experience navigating C-suite relationships and influencing executive decisions in ambiguous environments
- Track record of turning one-off delivery work into reusable assets, product requirements, or repeatable playbooks
- Entrepreneurial, fast-moving mindset focused on long-term impact over immediate fixes
