Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers, and rethinking every layer of the stack. The company is singularly focused on delivering 10–100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, with teams spanning hardware and software.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer in Business Operations, you will embed with finance, treasury, accounting, legal, and people teams to turn their workflows into software systems. You'll work on several high-impact problems:
**Hiring as Software**: Automate the company's biggest bottleneck by building a recruiting system synced bidirectionally with the core graph. Make interviewer supply and load visible to every hiring manager, and generate onboarding the moment an offer is signed.
**Cash View & Forecasting**: Build the financial system the company runs on. Today finance forecasts by hand and misses what construction has already committed. You'll turn purchase orders, contract terms, and build milestones into an order schedule, cash demand curve by month, and payment schedule that recomputes as procurement and construction move.
**Capital Pipeline**: Build one system from approved budget to released capital to spent dollar, gated on build milestones the delivery system verifies. Assemble proof chains behind every financing drawdown automatically, so releasing nine figures takes a day of judgment and funding follows construction within days.
**Contract Intelligence**: Parse every MSA, change order, and side letter into obligations, prices, deadlines, penalties, and SLAs. Delivery leads get what the company owes a customer with the clause attached; change orders arrive with legal and finance checks done; the corpus of executed deals prices the next negotiation.
**Continuous Close**: Embed with finance, treasury, accounting, legal, and people teams through closes, drawdowns, negotiations, and hiring loops. Turn their approvals, contract terms, screens, and reconciliations into structured data and generated work, including a continuous close where capitalization and depreciation post as events the moment they happen.
The company operates with full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters. You'll identify problems, design solutions, and ship without waiting for direction or approval.
**Requirements:**
- Shipped production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript; ability to pick up whatever language the problem demands
- Built real features on LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models), MCP servers, and agentic frameworks
- Work daily with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor; experience getting agents doing useful work autonomously
- Ability to identify problems, design solutions, and ship without waiting for direction or approval
- Experience moving fast under deadline while leaving foundations that other engineers extended
- Earned credibility with experts outside engineering (finance leads, lawyers, recruiters, auditors) and driven adoption of software inside their real deadlines
- Product taste demonstrated in shipped work; interfaces that experts find obvious and workflows that match how their work actually happens
- Bonus: ERP and fixed asset accounting; FP&A, cash forecasting, and capital planning; structured finance or treasury operations; contract lifecycle systems; ATS and HRIS integrations (Ashby, Greenhouse, Rippling, Workday); LLM extraction over legal and financial documents
