Templafy, founded in 2014 and headquartered in Copenhagen, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its Technical Operations team. The company has raised over $200 million from top-tier investors and operates a global workforce of 60+ nationalities.
In this role, you will serve as a hands-on technical expert embedded with strategic customers, responsible for designing, building, and deploying tailored solutions that integrate Templafy's document workflow platform into enterprise environments. You will own the complete customer technical journey from discovery through implementation and launch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on-site or virtually with strategic customers to build, configure, and integrate Templafy solutions into their document workflows
- Designing and building custom environments using customer content, business rules, integrations, and data to solve complex document use cases
- Partnering with Solutions Consulting and Professional Services to translate complex requirements into technical architectures and implementation plans
- Building proof-of-concept integrations, document agents, and workflow automations to validate solution fit
- Collaborating with Product Managers to share customer insights and shape product direction
- Supporting customer rollout, training, and adoption of custom solutions
- Identifying common use cases from implementations to develop repeatable solutions across industries
You will work at the intersection of engineering, product, and commercial strategy, requiring strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level IT decision-makers.
Success metrics include identifying complex business scenarios and developing production-ready solutions, enabling customers to launch custom document agents, supporting strong win rates for Custom Document Agent opportunities, and driving repeat adoption.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or similar technical customer-facing role, ideally in enterprise SaaS or applied AI
- Strong commercial and technical discovery skills with ability to translate business needs into working solutions
- Experience with REST APIs, enterprise integrations, authentication/SSO, and automation frameworks
- Strong technical curiosity and interest in AI; experience with LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) is a strong plus
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and turn loosely defined problems into working software
- Clear communication of technical concepts, recommendations, and trade-offs to diverse audiences
- Understanding of enterprise document governance and workflows; confidence engaging with senior IT stakeholders
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and file structures is a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel and spend time on-site with customers
- Strong bias toward action, ownership, and problem-solving in a fast-moving environment
