Monday.com is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its Professional Services team in New York (hybrid, 3 days/week in office). You will deliver technical solutions that embed the monday.com AI Work Platform into enterprise customer environments through integration, custom application development, and agentic AI engineering.
In this role, you will work directly with customers to transform solution designs into production systems. You will develop deep knowledge of the monday.com platform, monday AI, and extensibility tools to fully integrate the platform into clients' digital landscapes. You will lead post-sale technical delivery through discovery, requirements gathering, and execution of technical services engagements, collaborating with account and deployment strategy teams.
You will lead technical consulting engagements for customers, applying industry knowledge in AI transformation, system scale, security, user governance, and data architecture. You will engineer complex and agentic AI solutions leveraging the monday.com API, MCP, and apps framework to deliver data migrations, integrations, and custom applications. You will navigate both complex engagements within a delivery team and standalone engagements, carrying customer communication, sequencing, and delivery yourself.
You will produce documentation, walkthroughs, and exit artifacts that allow customers to operate, maintain, and extend solutions independently. You will advocate for customers with Product and R&D teams when their needs are not met and play an active role in extending monday.com product capabilities. You will contribute to the global Services tooling roadmap and shared asset library, building internal utilities, reusable components, and reference implementations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience as a forward deployed engineer, software engineer, or technical consultant in enterprise software, delivering hands-on technical work for external customers in complex enterprise environments
- Fluency in Generative and Agentic AI development, spanning LLM-based workflows, agent orchestration and tool use, and context and retrieval design, with AI-assisted editors such as Cursor or Claude Code in daily use
- Familiarity with practices that keep AI reliable in production, covering evaluation harnesses, guardrails, human-in-the-loop review, tracing, and failure modes that surface in production
- Strong working knowledge of APIs (RESTful, GraphQL), webhooks, MCP, identity management (SCIM), and authentication protocols (SAML 2.0/OAuth 2.0)
- Software development experience in TypeScript and JavaScript, with depth in either React or Node.js; full-stack experience preferred
- Hands-on experience in enterprise data mobility and integrations, writing and adapting SQL, scripts, and n8n or Workato automations for data migration and transformation
- Exposure to production engineering concepts spanning version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment to AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
- Consultative range and communication skills to understand business problems, frame solutions for client stakeholders, and articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Adaptability to move between customers, technology stacks, and unfamiliar problem domains, with resilience to absorb mid-engagement direction changes and appetite for fast-moving work
- Detail-oriented with some project management experience, comfortable running standalone engagements independently and working across multiple projects simultaneously
- Positive attitude, empathy, and high energy with ability to take initiative and learn new technology
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
