Monday.com is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the technical leader for AI transformation initiatives with the company's most strategic enterprise customers. You will carry a portfolio of 1–2 high-value accounts, embedded directly with C-level and technical teams to architect, build, and deploy AI solutions in production. Unlike traditional consulting or delivery roles, you own the business outcomes those engagements promised—adoption rates, workflow throughput, measurable ROI—not just the technical build.
You will work with monday.com's AI agents, MCP-based integrations, vibe apps, and production workflows, taking projects from discovery and architecture through build, rollout, and measurable adoption. This is an autonomous, high-visibility role that shapes both customer outcomes and the future of the forward-deployed engineering motion at monday.com.
Key responsibilities include:
• Strategic transformation: Embed with C-level stakeholders to architect end-to-end AI solutions and scalable workflows that solve complex, mission-critical business problems. Own the narrative from pilot through full production rollout.
• Outcome ownership: Define success criteria with customers upfront and drive measurable results—adoption, throughput, ROI. Your success metric is the business result the engagement committed to.
• Build and ship: Design sophisticated platform configurations, build monday agents and vibe apps, wire MCP integrations into customer systems, and prototype custom scripts where the platform ends. Your credibility comes from being able to build it yourself.
• Eval-driven product feedback: Instrument deployments, run evaluations against real customer workflows, and translate findings into PRDs and roadmap input. You act as a sensor for the product organization, backed by data.
• Cross-functional leadership: Partner with Sales and Customer Success as the technical authority on account strategy. Productize learnings—patterns, agents, and assets from one account become reusable machinery for the entire motion.
This role has a direct line into the product roadmap, a mandate to productize rather than repeat, and outcome-based success criteria agreed before the build starts.
Requirements:
• 5+ years building applications from scratch using TypeScript, Node.js, and React, with full-stack depth
• Experience leading hands-on projects end-to-end in production environments, preferably client-facing
• Background in Solution Architecture or Software Engineering with strong grasp of AI/LLM systems: agent architectures, MCP or comparable tool-use protocols, evals, and prompt-to-production workflows
• Experience navigating C-suite relationships and influencing executive decisions in ambiguous environments
• Track record of turning one-off delivery work into reusable assets, product requirements, or repeatable playbooks
• Entrepreneurial, fast-moving mindset focused on long-term impact over immediate fixes
