The company is building an integrated energy platform spanning solar, wind, and hydrogen project development, real-time power trading, and distributed energy installations. A key focus is the Energy Network—a decentralized platform of smart devices designed to electrify homes, shift usage to off-peak hours, and balance the grid to support energy-intensive industries like AI data centers. As a Firmware Engineer, you will develop low-level firmware and drivers for microcontrollers and embedded peripherals, including SPI, I2C, UART, DMA, ADC, and other interfaces. You'll design and implement real-time control software and embedded algorithms for energy devices, writing, testing, and debugging embedded C/C++ firmware on bare-metal or RTOS-based systems. You will collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and controls teams to define firmware requirements and test plans, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of firmware practices. Additional responsibilities include board bring-up, profiling, and debugging using oscilloscopes, JTAG/SWD, and logic analyzers. You'll implement and maintain bootloaders, linker scripts, and firmware deployment pipelines. Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in embedded systems or firmware engineering - Strong proficiency in C with experience writing firmware for microcontrollers - Hands-on experience with common MCU peripherals: SPI, I2C, UART, DMA, timers, ADCs, Flash, CAN - Experience working with real-time systems and embedded development toolchains (GNU, IAR) - Familiarity with version control and tooling (Git, Docker, CI pipelines) - Ability to work with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD) Bonus qualifications: - Experience with power electronics or grid-connected converter controls - Knowledge of control systems and digital signal processing (FIR, IIR, FFT) - Familiarity with embedded bootloaders, memory maps, linker scripts, and board bring-up
