Legora is an AI-native legal workspace trusted by 2,100+ customers across 80+ countries, including major law firms like Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, and Linklaters. The company has scaled to $200M+ ARR and operates teams across Europe, North America, and APAC.
You will join the Financial Systems team as a hands-on engineer responsible for building and maintaining the integration platform that connects Legora's billing, revenue, and accounting systems. Your core mission is to replace manual, fragile processes with reliable systems that Finance can trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and own the integration platform connecting CRM, CPQ, ERP, and future systems
- Build event-driven services end-to-end: APIs, reconciliation pipelines, queues, and observability
- Write idempotent, resumable sync logic against third-party SaaS APIs, handling partial failures, retries, out-of-order events, and concurrency
- Work in Python and Azure, with infrastructure as code in TypeScript (Pulumi)
- Own the deployment path: GitHub Actions CI/CD across dev, test, and prod environments with gating and observability
- Write comprehensive tests (unit and contract tests against recorded fixtures) to ensure system safety
- Partner directly with Finance and RevOps teams to translate billing and revenue requirements into trusted systems
- Contribute to architecture decisions as the integration surface grows, preventing technical debt and special cases
This is a high-autonomy role close to the business, where you'll understand not just how systems connect but why—how transactions are booked, how revenue is recognized, and what the accounting team needs to close books confidently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production
- Strong Python skills; comfortable enough in TypeScript to own infrastructure code (or keen to learn)
- Hands-on experience integrating with REST APIs from SaaS applications and transforming data between them
- Practical knowledge of idempotency, retries, eventual consistency, and reconciliation
- Experience with a cloud platform (ideally Azure; AWS or GCP translates well) and infrastructure as code
- Genuine interest in how businesses make and book money; experience with financial systems (billing, revenue, ERP) is a plus
- Proactive, self-directed, and hungry for ownership; thrives with autonomy in fast-moving, high-growth environments
