As a Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Investigator, you will protect customer safety by implementing and maintaining the company's financial crime compliance procedures and controls. You will work closely with the Risk and Fraud teams on daily monitoring and investigation of suspicious transaction alerts, using strong investigative and analytical skills to make decisions and escalate cases appropriately. This role reports to the FCC program manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing investigations to identify financial crime typologies
- Monitoring sanctions and PEP (Politically Exposed Person) screening alerts
- Drafting suspicious transaction reports (SARs)
- Providing analysis of observed money laundering/terrorist financing (ML/TF) typologies and trends to identify risk areas
- Conducting quality control reviews of sanctions and suspicious transaction alerts and reports
- Participating in transaction monitoring system tuning tests
- Additional duties as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of financial crime compliance or investigations experience
- Strong investigations background with ability to connect disparate red flags and document conclusive results
- Past experience implementing BSA/AML (Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering) program improvements (preferred)
- Ability to synthesize transactional behavior across different data views (chronological and pivoted summary data)
- Self-starter mentality with ability to anticipate management needs
- Meticulous organization and ability to manage multiple parallel assignments
- Results-oriented and analytical mindset, comfortable working independently and adaptively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to work effectively with remote colleagues
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification or current candidacy (preferred)
