The company uses technology to enable farmers and graziers to optimize their operations without traditional constraints like quad bikes, dogs, or fences. As Finance Systems Analyst reporting to the Senior Manager Finance Systems, you will be a key contributor to Halter's finance systems ecosystem. This is not a maintenance role—you'll actively drive continuous optimization and innovation across the finance technology stack.
Key responsibilities include:
• Systems Administration & Ecosystem Support: Manage user access, configurations, workflows, saved searches, custom records, and integrations within NetSuite and connected applications. Ensure systems remain clean, accurate, and performant.
• Continuous Optimization: Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies in ERP workflows and connected systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that improve processes.
• AI-Powered Process Innovation: Actively use AI tools to automate tasks, surface insights, and reduce manual workload across finance and operations. Experiment with and apply emerging technologies to drive efficiency.
• Financial Integrity Support: Leverage accounting knowledge to understand the financial impact of system changes. Support the finance team with system-driven analysis and maintain the integrity of balance sheet data, including inventory valuation and GL mappings.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, supply chain, and tech teams to translate business needs into system solutions. Act as a bridge between business requirements and system capabilities.
• Documentation & Internal Controls: Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of system configurations, workflows, and process changes to support a strong control environment as the company scales.

Requirements:
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems (early-career experience acceptable if strong foundation exists)
• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, actively working toward CA, or degree in Accounting or Finance
• Understanding of accounting principles and the "why" behind financial numbers, not just system mechanics
• Genuine interest in AI tools and willingness to experiment with and apply them to improve workflows
• 1-2 years into your career with demonstrated ability to punch above your weight
• Comfort asking questions, learning quickly, and moving fast in a scaling environment
• Proactive mindset: you identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and see them through
• Systems thinking: you understand how components connect and love diving deep into tech stacks
