Banyan Software is a permanent-capital software consolidator that acquires and grows specialized software businesses globally. This Finance Manager role is based in Stockholm and reports to Banyan's VP Finance in London, leading the finance function across a portfolio of high-quality software companies in the Nordics region.
You will own accounting, treasury, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), reporting, and finance systems across the portfolio. Key responsibilities include leading the finance team (with support from internal and offshore resources), contributing to day-to-day accounting work including customer contract setup, expense oversight, and treasury management, and preparing timely and accurate GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIs for operating companies.
You will perform quality assurance on finance and accounting work, analyze budget-to-actuals and revenue/expense trends to drive decision-making, and lead the operational and financial integration of new acquisitions. You will also drive finance process improvement initiatives, document standard operating procedures to promote best practices across the portfolio, and support the broader business through financial insights and analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting roles
- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA or CA)
- Fluency in a Nordic language and English; Swedish preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams, implement change, and drive process improvement
- Strong ability to delegate and coordinate tasks with offshore teams
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills for senior executive engagement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Self-starter comfortable in a hybrid environment
- Experience with U.S. GAAP and software industry is an asset
- Experience integrating acquisitions, implementing system transitions, or designing financial processes is an asset
- Oracle NetSuite experience is an asset
- Highly motivated with interest in entrepreneurship, software, and finance
