Lumos is an Autonomous Identity Platform that surfaces and acts on access risk for enterprise customers including GitHub, MongoDB, Mars, Pinterest, Anduril, Intercom, Roku, and Netskope. The company has grown from 20 to ~130 employees since launching from stealth in April 2022, raised over $65M from a16z, Scale, Neo, and other notable investors, and is preparing to raise Series C to fuel growth toward $100M ARR.
You will be the Finance Leader reporting directly to the CEO, responsible for building the financial strategy and infrastructure to scale Lumos to $100M ARR over the next three years. Your core responsibilities include:
- Developing the financial blueprint and long-term plan to reach $100M ARR, including modeling, forecasting, and capital allocation strategy.
- Leading a pricing transformation from seat-based models to AI-native pricing that reflects the value of agents and AI identities.
- Building and scaling a high-leverage Finance function that leverages AI tools to operate with the efficiency of a much larger team.
- Establishing the operating rhythm and financial discipline across the organization—clean numbers, controlled spend, and strong banking and compliance relationships.
- Serving as the financial voice in cross-functional leadership discussions with the Head of Sales, Head of Engineering, COO, and CEO, helping each leader make sharper decisions.
- Owning investor relations, board updates, banker relationships, and capital strategy to keep the company positioned for the next funding round.
You will work in a remote-first culture (±4 hours Pacific Time) with a company that has been named a Forbes Top 100 Best Startup Employer three years running and maintains a strong culture focused on outcomes and values alignment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You have been the #2 or #3 Finance leader at a $100M+ private company, or the Head of Finance at a growth-stage company. You have closed a real funding round.
- You have built a capacity model for a sales-led enterprise GTM motion.
- You understand the difference between optimization and transformation, and have driven transformational change.
- You are AI-native: you use Claude or equivalent daily and can name three things you stopped doing manually in the last 12 months.
- You catch errors before others do and get nervous when numbers don't add up, but also know when to step back and let operators make the call.
- You excel at both small details and big-picture strategy. You hire well and thrive in the room when the company makes its biggest decisions.
