Honey Homes is a membership service that makes home upkeep effortless by pairing members with dedicated handymen and a mobile app for everyday maintenance, ongoing upkeep, and unexpected repairs. The company is backed by Khosla Ventures, Era Ventures, Pear VC, and co-founders of DoorDash, Lyft, and Opendoor, with leadership from Airbnb, Google, Opendoor, Yelp, Zillow, and Uber.
As Field Strategy & Operations Manager, you will lead the East Bay market based in Lafayette, managing two distinct teams: a team of full-time handymen serving members, and AI agents and tools that handle visit preparation, member communications, scheduling, performance monitoring, and operational workflows. You'll spend approximately three days per week in the field across the East Bay and one day in the Oakland office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Lamorinda market (Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, Tri-Valley, and Concord)
- Hiring, coaching, and leading a handyman team while owning quality, retention, and team culture
- Running daily market operations using an AI toolkit for visit prep, member communications, scheduling, and performance dashboards
- Reviewing and verifying AI agent output, determining which workflows can operate with greater autonomy
- Owning member experience in your market, including escalations, with hospitality and urgency
- Partnering with recruiting to maintain a strong hiring pipeline ahead of growth
- Using data to identify problems early and building scalable playbooks to address them
In the first six months, you'll own market performance metrics (quality, retention, utilization, visit feedback), build and coach the handyman team through ride-alongs and structured feedback, adopt and customize the AI toolkit while graduating at least one workflow to trusted automation, establish hospitality standards measured through member retention and NPS, and drive market growth across the East Bay.
Compensation includes base salary of $95,000–$130,000 commensurate with experience, equity ownership, 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision, 401(k), FSA, and flexible time off.
