Delta Electronics (Eltek) is seeking a Field Application Engineer specializing in control systems to join its team in Helmond, Netherlands. This role combines technical product support with product management responsibilities, focusing on industrial automation solutions including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field devices, with secondary focus on AC motor drives, servo drives, and motion controllers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support to customers via ticket system, resolving complex automation and control questions
- Conduct on-site technical support including parameter configuration, network communication setup, and system debugging
- Execute product testing tasks assigned by product management
- Develop and deliver product training materials (presentations, videos, demonstration kits) to customers and internal teams
- Manage technical documentation and maintain product knowledge databases
- Perform return product inspections, conduct fault analysis, and prepare detailed technical reports using CRM systems
- Report and escalate technical product issues to R&D and product teams
- Occasional travel for customer support and on-site commissioning

Requirements:
- Master's degree or technical degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Motion Control, PLC, Servo, Drive, or Industrial Automation products (Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff, or equivalent)
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols including Modbus, CANopen, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, OPC UA, and MQTT
- Demonstrated expertise with industrial field devices, instrumentation, sensor integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting (encoders, vision systems, temperature controllers, power meters, industrial sensors)
- Proven experience commissioning, diagnosing, and troubleshooting in multi-vendor automation environments
- Experience coordinating across R&D, sales, customers, and service teams
- Fluent English required; additional European languages advantageous
- Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and presentation skills
- Commitment to quality in work output
