Okta is seeking an Event & Experiences Designer to join the Brand & Creative team, specifically within the Brand Events & Experiences Creative group. This is a hands-on creative role focused on designing and producing high-impact physical environments and branded spaces for Okta's global event calendar. You will partner closely with art directors, creative leads, and event marketing partners to concept, build, and produce experiential work across flagship owned events (Oktane, Showcase) and high-velocity third-party activations (AWS re:Invent, RSA Conference, Gartner Symposiums, Executive Briefing summits). Key responsibilities include: • Translating creative briefs into compelling physical and environmental activations—designing large-format booth graphics, spatial layouts, entrance structures, dimensional signage, and interactive demo zones. • Taking full ownership of production deliverables: preparing flawless, press-ready, and fabrication-ready art files tailored to precise vendor specifications, architectural scale, and material substrates. • Actively implementing and evolving Okta's experiential design system and modular "kit of parts" to ensure consistency, premium craft, and brand recognition across all event tiers. • Autonomously driving several concurrent projects across different stages of the event lifecycle (concepting, producing, prepping print proofs) with high accuracy and composure. • Collaborating directly with Event Marketing, Field Marketing, and external fabrication partners (printers, booth builders, staging agencies) to ensure design intent translates seamlessly into built environments. • Conducting prepress proof reviews, overseeing physical print approvals, and safeguarding creative excellence across all physical touchpoints. This role is ideal for a craft-obsessed practitioner who thrives in the full arc of event creative—from spatial ideation and environmental typography to meticulous prepress work required to ship flawless, fabrication-ready files on tight deadlines. REQUIREMENTS: • 4+ years of dedicated professional experience in experiential design, spatial/environmental graphic design, or event production within an in-house creative team or top-tier branding/experiential agency. • Deep production fluency (required): Proven, hands-on expertise preparing large-format print and environmental graphics for physical builds (tension fabric/SEG, hardwall structures, vinyl wraps, dimensional lettering, acrylics). Must understand bleeds, resolutions at architectural scale, color management (CMYK, Pantone matching), and vendor handoff specs. • High-craft portfolio showcasing shipped, physical event environments and environmental graphics demonstrating elevated typography, spatial hierarchy, and production fidelity (photographs of built environments and technical specs preferred alongside 2D/3D visualizations). • Expert-level fluency with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). • Demonstrated track record of managing overlapping timelines, navigating ambiguous project requirements, and proactively resolving real-world fabrication challenges. • Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate design rationale, incorporate stakeholder feedback thoughtfully, and maintain high standards of visual excellence. BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: • Working knowledge of 3D spatial software or spatial visualization tools (SketchUp, Cinema 4D, Blender, Vectorworks). • Experience localizing creative for international regional series (EMEA and APJ markets). • Direct experience communicating with fabrication shops and conducting on-site print/install inspections.
