Farfetch is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to lead the B2B Integrations team in Porto. You will manage a multidisciplinary team of backend and integration engineers responsible for the core pipelines powering Farfetch's B2B ecosystem: ingesting complex global product catalogs at scale and ensuring seamless, real-time routing of outbound orders and returns with B2B partners. Key responsibilities include: - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of backend and integration engineers through regular 1:1s, clear goal-setting, and fostering psychological safety and technical curiosity - Own the technical lifecycle and health of the B2B integration domain, guiding architectural decisions for product ingestion, order relay, and return pipelines to ensure scalability, resilience, and observability - Partner closely with Product Managers to translate business requirements into a robust technical roadmap, balancing feature delivery with technical debt management and infrastructure scaling - Champion modern SDLC practices including CI/CD, test automation, site reliability, and agile methodologies across the engineering organization - Actively contribute to talent acquisition, interviewing, and onboarding to attract and retain top-tier engineering talent You will work in a dynamic, inclusive, collaborative environment where engineering excellence is paramount. The Porto office offers an informal, creative setting with flexible working arrangements. REQUIREMENTS: - Proven track record managing and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary software engineering teams - Deep technical experience building and scaling high-throughput integration pipelines, B2B data exchanges (APIs, Webhooks, EDI), and event-driven architectures - Strong background in distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and modern cloud-native technology stacks (e.g., modern .NET, Node.js/TypeScript, Kafka/RabbitMQ, NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB, Cloud infrastructure) - Solid understanding of agile product development and DevOps mindset, taking ownership from inception through production and continuous monitoring - Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders and bridge technical concepts with business outcomes - Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent real-world experience demonstrating deep foundation in software engineering principles
