As Engineering Manager, you will lead and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for building reliable, scalable software that powers voize's AI companion platform. You'll own team hiring, mentorship, and career development while ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team with a growth-oriented mindset
- Foster an inclusive, psychologically safe culture with structured career development
- Align technical direction with product and company strategy in collaboration with leadership
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery through best practices in testing, architecture, and code quality
- Optimize developer experience, tooling, and CI/CD workflows to maximize efficiency
- Drive project planning and execution, managing risks and deadlines
- Collaborate closely with ML, Product, and Data teams to bridge technical and business needs

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role with direct people management experience
- Strong hands-on technical mindset with daily work in modern development tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Technical background in backend engineering (Kotlin and mobile engineering a plus)
- Experience building reliable, high-quality production systems with strong engineering practices
- Experience with agile methodologies, project management, and delivery processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong cross-team relationships
- Ability to drive technical strategy aligned with business and product goals
- Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing talent in dynamic environments
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration (Product, Data, CS, GTM)
- Experience delivering complex integrations and partnership-driven projects (healthcare experience a plus)
- Strong track record hiring and building high-performing engineering teams
- Fluent in English (C1); German (C1) a plus
