As Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-performing engineering team building products that thousands of care professionals rely on daily. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong software engineering background—ideally a former Tech Lead or Staff/Senior Engineer who has made the transition into people management while staying deeply technical.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading, hiring, and developing a high-performing engineering team through meaningful 1:1s, clear feedback, and growth paths
- Staying hands-on in technical design, participating in architecture discussions, reviewing code and designs, and co-owning technical decisions
- Fostering an inclusive, high-trust culture where engineers feel valued, empowered, and psychologically safe
- Aligning technical direction with product and company strategy, working closely with Product and leadership
- Ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery through best practices in testing, architecture, and code quality
- Driving execution and maintaining momentum through planning, unblocking the team, and proactive risk management
- Improving engineering processes, developer experience, tooling, and CI/CD workflows
- Collaborating across ML, Product, Data, and GTM teams to align on technical and business needs

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong software engineering background with proven experience building and shipping production systems, ideally as a Tech Lead or Staff/Senior Engineer
- Hands-on technical capability: comfortable in deep technical discussions, challenging architecture, and keeping current with modern tooling
- Proven people leadership experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role, with track record of hiring, coaching, giving tough feedback, and growing engineers
- Strong track record building high-performing engineering teams
- High energy, drive, and ownership; thrives in ambiguity and brings momentum
- Experience in fast-moving scale-ups: moves quickly, prioritizes ruthlessly, comfortable with change
- Experience building reliable, high-quality production systems with strong engineering practices (backend experience a plus; Kotlin and mobile a bonus)
- Ability to drive technical strategy and connect it to business and product goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong cross-team relationships
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, ML, CS, GTM)
- Fluent in English (C1 level); German is a plus
