Salary: USD 200,000 - 300,000 / annual
Nuvo is redefining the $11T B2B commerce and payments market by bringing B2B commerce online. While technology has transformed consumer commerce, the B2B economy—three times larger—still relies on outdated methods like paper forms, PDFs, emails, faxes, phone calls, and spreadsheets. Nuvo aims to do for B2B what Shopify, Stripe, and Square did for consumer commerce.
As an Engineering Manager at Nuvo, you will build, lead, and grow a team of engineers to develop Nuvo's technical platforms. You'll work closely with founders, product, and customer go-to-market teams to deliver compelling product experiences. The company's product and platform have grown 3x year-on-year, and you'll help scale technologies to connect the world's businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own technical product areas and delivery across Onboarding, Platform, Infrastructure, AI, and new products
- Lead and mentor a team of world-class engineers, ensuring high performance, well-being, and growth
- Set technical direction for engineering-driven initiatives as Nuvo scales to over 1M businesses on the network
- Recruit technically gifted engineers and establish high talent density on the team
- Bring new products to life that build on existing distribution
- Work closely with customers, go-to-market, and product teams
- Set high standards for velocity and code quality
- Foster a team environment grounded in ownership, speed, and empathy
- Leverage cutting-edge technologies to maximize throughput and discover new product surfaces
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional experience with demonstrated experience managing and hiring engineering teams
- First-principles-oriented engineer who prioritizes high-throughput code output while balancing rigor and correctness
- Track record of shipping high-quality code under tight feedback loops and limited resources
- Experience in quickly scaling environments and guiding engineering success at different company growth stages
- Ability to work in-office 5 days per week
