As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers building and scaling critical systems that power the platform. Your responsibilities include architecting innovative solutions for complex, high-impact problems; designing highly scalable, available, and reliable applications; and establishing best practices across the product development lifecycle. You will develop roadmaps for system and product growth, ensuring timely execution and quality delivery. Cross-functional collaboration is central to the role—you'll manage stakeholders including designers, business analysts, and product managers, providing delivery plans and estimates in an Agile environment.
A key part of your mandate is building and scaling a top-notch engineering team. You will create clear career paths for team members through regular, deep mentoring and conduct performance evaluations with consistent feedback. You'll identify areas for continuous improvement in the development lifecycle and drive organizational scaling.
This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing anywhere in India. BrowserStack offers a remote-first work environment with a remote-first allowance for home office setup, connectivity, accessories, co-working spaces, and wellbeing support.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8–12 years of experience in product-based companies, preferably product startups
- Strong grasp of scalable web back-end, streaming, and full-stack development
- Proven experience handling production and performance issues across multiple platform technologies
- Deep understanding of technologies and architecture in highly scalable and available setups
- Deep expertise with highly transactional, large relational, and complex web/desktop-based systems
- Demonstrated experience hiring, growing, and scaling top-notch engineering teams
- Startup experience highly preferred
- Solid understanding of business processes and technology application to implement and streamline them
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on experience developing, designing, and scaling complex systems both horizontally and vertically
- Strong vision and excitement for contributing to the growth of a product startup
