The Platform Engineering team maintains internal code generation tools that translate declarative configuration files into full-stack applications. This approach, modeled on Postgres, allows FSH to build highly configurable software at scale. The platform team treats other engineering teams as customers, providing them with tools and abstractions that enable rapid, robust, and elegant product development.
In this role, you will create and maintain platforms that accelerate product development across the organization. You'll serve as a mentor to client engineers and technical operators, translating customer needs into simplified software abstractions. You'll also help define engineering culture and contribute to the company's technical direction.
The tech stack includes Python, Postgres, Unix, TypeScript, and React. You'll work closely with teams building products for government agencies and public institutions, understanding how your platform work directly impacts millions of Americans.
