- Designing and maintaining automated test frameworks for autonomy and UI applications
- Developing scalable test infrastructure for functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing
- Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab using YAML and shell scripting
- Building workflow automation tools in Python to improve test execution, reporting, and developer productivity
- Developing UI and API test automation using Go and TypeScript for web-based operator interfaces
- Integrating automated testing into continuous integration environments
- Collaborating with software, autonomy, simulation, and systems engineering teams on verification strategies
- Developing automated validation for safety-critical and mission-critical aerospace software
- Creating test harnesses, simulators, stubs, and mocks for simulated and hardware-in-the-loop environments
- Analyzing test results, troubleshooting failures, and isolating root causes
- Improving test coverage, execution speed, maintainability, and observability
- Contributing to software quality standards and automation architecture decisions
- Maintaining technical documentation for test frameworks and CI/CD infrastructure
- Supporting release qualification activities and requirements traceability
- Developing AI-assisted engineering workflows using modern coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, LLM platforms)
- Designing intelligent automation pipelines leveraging AI-assisted code generation and log analysis
- Evaluating and integrating emerging AI-driven software engineering tools
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks and/or developer tooling in Python
- 2+ years working with package management, dependency management, and build systems (conan, pip, setuptools, poetry, nix, or similar)
- 2+ years building tooling for automated log collection, analytics, reporting, and failure triage
- Strong understanding of asynchronous and concurrent programming in Python for scalable automation and parallel test execution
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, YAML, and shell scripting
- Experience with automated testing of distributed systems, backend services, APIs, and web-based UIs
