AnySignal is developing next-generation RF products and services for space and defense missions. We're building a flexible, high-performance platform for advanced radio technologies.
You will develop embedded software that controls and operates ground antenna systems, sitting at the intersection of software and electromechanical systems. This role involves developing software for antenna motion, motors, actuators, sensors, and other components; integrating new electrical and mechanical systems into the ground software stack; and collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, RF, and software engineers to build and operate reliable ground systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop software supporting operation and integration of ground antenna systems
- Create reliable, low-level software for controlling motors, actuators, sensors, and electromechanical components
- Build and maintain interfaces between software and ground-station systems using low-level communication protocols
- Integrate and test new electrical and mechanical systems with the antenna software stack
- Troubleshoot software and electromechanical behavior across integrated systems
- Develop automated tests and tools to validate antenna control software and system performance
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, RF, and software engineers
- Support deployment and reliable operation of ground antenna systems in field environments
REQUIREMENTS (Must-Haves):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- Strong software development experience in Python
- Strong experience developing software in Embedded Linux environments
- Experience with networking and software communication protocols
- Professional experience developing and debugging software that integrates with motors, actuators, servos, encoders, sensors, controllers, or other electromechanical systems
- Experience developing and debugging low-level interfaces and communication protocols
- Experience with test automation and software validation
- Ability to work cross-functionally with software, electrical, mechanical, and RF engineers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience developing software in C or C++
- Experience with RF systems, satellite communications, or ground-station systems
- Experience deploying or supporting integrated software/electromechanical systems in field environments
- Experience with GNU Radio or similar software-defined radio frameworks
