Base Power is rebuilding America's electrical grid through distributed battery systems. The Manufacturing Engineering team is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to lead the deployment, sustaining, and improvement of automated manufacturing test systems for battery backup systems production.
You will own uptime, cycle time, and first-pass yield (FPY) improvements on manufacturing test equipment. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure test equipment meets world-class expectations, performing data analysis and voice-of-customer discussions to understand post-deployment challenges. You'll serve as a key technical contact between the design team and site operations, with a system-level grasp of both test equipment engineering and production operations.
Key responsibilities include building and validating test equipment, deploying to production lines at contract manufacturers and internal facilities, verifying documentation for seamless handoffs, and providing ongoing troubleshooting support post-deployment. You'll support equipment troubleshooting and qualification during development and manufacturing ramp-up phases.
Base is a venture-backed startup focused on grid resilience and energy abundance. The role requires working in-person in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities shift quickly and your responsibilities may expand based on business needs.
