Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical System Test Engineer to join the team in Costa Mesa, CA, supporting the development of advanced defense technology systems. This role focuses on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and electrical system validation for air dominance and strike platforms.
You will own EMC test readiness end-to-end, translating designs into test configurations and driving schedules and deliverables across engineering teams. Key responsibilities include:
• Create and configure test systems supporting all phases of product development, from initial design through qualification, verification, and validation
• Define cable harnesses, breakout interfaces, and test hardware setups for complex avionics and electrical systems
• Collaborate with software, firmware, and systems engineers to develop test modes, stimulation protocols, and telemetry collection
• Configure and verify device-under-test (DUT) operating modes prior to and during EMC testing
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test setup and configuration documentation
• Track and drive on-time delivery of test hardware, fixtures, and support equipment to the EMC lab
• Proactively manage test schedules based on hardware availability, coordinate across disciplines, and remove blockers
• Maintain real-time visibility into schedule risks and escalate early to keep milestones on track
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to identify issues and drive design choices
• Conduct root cause analysis in support of vehicle integration and field operations
The role is fast-paced, supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware. Note: Anduril anticipates relocating this position to Long Beach, CA beginning late 2027.
