Hut 8 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to own the design, engineering, and delivery of mission-critical electrical infrastructure systems. This is a high-ownership role where you will design electrical systems end-to-end—including utility interconnects, substations, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and power distribution networks. You will serve as Engineer of Record, responsible for one-line diagrams, protection coordination studies, short-circuit analysis, arc-flash studies, and related power-system engineering. Beyond the design phase, you will stay deeply involved in construction, solving field issues in real time and owning the work through commissioning and energization. You will challenge designs on cost, constructability, redundancy, and third-party work without compromising safety or reliability.
The company culture emphasizes ownership over hierarchy: your influence is defined by what you take on, not your title. You will have real responsibility and the space to operate beyond traditional boundaries. Scope and responsibility grow with impact and trust.
This role is ideal for someone who thinks from first principles, questions convention, and wants to own outcomes. You should be comfortable designing it, standing behind it, solving for it in the field, and building the runway as you go. The company is looking for mission-driven, ownership-minded professionals drawn to hard problems and willing to challenge convention.

- Knowledge of redundancy topologies including N+1 and 2N configurations
