Neros Technologies is a defense technology company focused on designing and manufacturing high-performance unmanned systems (drones) for military applications. The company operates with a startup mentality—fast iteration, hands-on culture, and rapid deployment cycles—while building systems at scale for warfighters.
In this role, you will own the electrical validation and characterization of circuit boards for next-generation airside and groundside drone platforms. Your core responsibilities include:
• Bringing up, characterizing, and validating new circuit boards against design requirements
• Contributing to worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA) from schematic-level calculations and SPICE simulation through post-layout checks and bench validation, feeding measured results back into design iterations
• Writing and executing comprehensive test plans, procedures, and reports
• Designing and building test fixtures, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups, and automated test scripts
• Running qualification and reliability testing (thermal, vibration, HALT/HASS) and supporting root-cause analysis on failures
• Providing design-for-test (DFT) guidance to design engineers during product development
You will work closely with design engineers to close the feedback loop between validation results and circuit design, ensuring robust, production-ready hardware.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4+ years of hands-on electrical hardware engineering experience, including bench validation of circuit boards
• Demonstrated board bring-up and characterization experience, with ability to write your own test plans and reports
• Proficiency with standard bench instrumentation: oscilloscopes, logic and protocol analyzers, power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers
• Board-level design experience (schematics and PCBs you have personally designed; test fixtures and test boards count)
• Strong circuit analysis skills across analog, digital, and power supply domains, including hand calculations, tolerance analysis, and SPICE simulation (LTspice or equivalent)
• Test automation and data analysis capability in Python or similar languages
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
NICE TO HAVE:
• Signal and power integrity simulation (HyperLynx, SIwave, or similar) and bench measurement (TDR, VNA, eye diagrams)
• Hands-on worst-case circuit analysis and component derating on production hardware
• Previous HALT/HASS, environmental, or EMC pre-compliance testing experience
• Production test development with contract manufacturers
• Background in UAV, aerospace, automotive, defense, or medical device hardware
