Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual

Salient Motion is pioneering modular motion technologies for the industrial, aerospace, and defense sectors. The company designs and manufactures exclusive motion control components serving a $300B+ market, and is well-funded, revenue-generating, and recently relocated to a new large hangar facility in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will own electrical design and development across the full product lifecycle. Your responsibilities include: - Electrical design, product requirements definition, component selection, and analysis - Schematic capture and documentation using industry-standard tools - PCB layout design using Altium according to specified requirements - Development of work instruction packages for manufacturing and test of circuit card assemblies - Electrical evaluation and selection of instrumentation (temperature, pressure, position sensors, etc.) - Review of test data and recommendation of product and process improvements - Participation in team growth through candidate interviews This is an individual contributor role with exposure to cross-functional manufacturing and test teams. You will work on hardware that directly impacts aerospace and defense applications. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related engineering discipline - 3+ years of electrical hardware design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout - Strong understanding of electric circuit design fundamentals and electrical engineering principles - Familiarity with basic electronic lab equipment: power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, soldering irons - Experience creating and executing design verification test plans - U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (Green Card) required to meet customer and regulatory requirements
