As an Electrical Engineer, you will own the reliability and design of roadside systems—solar power generation, cellular connectivity, and high-speed sensors—that must operate with 99.99% uptime in harsh outdoor environments. Your responsibilities include:
- Hardening power systems and connectivity infrastructure to maintain the company's technological advantage
- End-to-end hardware design: schematics, PCB layout, enclosure design, and cabling solutions for next-generation devices
- Leading CAD-based design iterations to improve manufacturing yield and long-term field serviceability
- Writing edge code (firmware) that bridges sensor hardware constraints with software requirements, typically in Python or C++
This is a hands-on role in a startup environment where you'll be expected to take ownership, work cross-functionally, and adapt as needs arise. The team averages 55 hours per week with occasional 70+ hour sprints for major releases. In-person collaboration in Denver is essential for hardware testing, prototyping, and team integration, though the role operates on a hybrid model.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field
- Experience: Demonstrated history of building physical hardware (professional or hobbyist projects such as Raspberry Pi, ESP32, custom PCBs)
- Technical Skills: Foundational understanding of circuit design and CAD; ability to write code (Python or C++ preferred); comfort with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and tools like Altium or Onshape
- Mindset: Startup mentality with ownership mindset; self-directed problem-solving; openness to feedback; ability to work cross-functionally on a lean team
- Location: Must be willing to relocate to Denver and work primarily in-office/hybrid due to hands-on hardware requirements
