Salary: USD 100,000 - 120,000 / annual
Harbinger is an American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company developing a first-of-its-kind EV platform for medium-duty vehicles and hybrids. The company brings together deep expertise in EV, battery, and drivetrain technology to address innovation gaps in the commercial vehicle market.
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Electrical Engineering (EE) Lab, serving as the operational leader for a critical testing and development facility. Your responsibilities include:
• Manage and lead a team of wiring harness technicians, including work assignments and performance oversight
• Own infrastructure development of the EE Lab, including equipment procurement, testing capability expansion, and inventory management
• Develop and expand the lab's capabilities to meet current and future testing needs, particularly in power electronics and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing
• Review incoming work requests, prioritize assignments, and ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain and enforce very high safety standards across all lab operations
• Track maintenance schedules and ensure proper calibration of all equipment
• Monitor lab expenditures against departmental budgets and manage costs effectively
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership
You will be instrumental in scaling the lab's capabilities as Harbinger grows its EV platform development.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years of experience as a Lab Manager, preferably managing a power electronics or electrical lab within the automotive or aerospace industry
• Experience managing technicians
• Proficiency with tools like Jira and Coupa
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of 2D drawing layout
• Motivation to learn on the job and take ownership of lab operations
