Salary: USD 162,000 - 225,000 / annual

Precision Medicine Group seeks an experienced Director of Global Privacy and Compliance to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of global privacy standards across multiple jurisdictions while supporting the company's mission in clinical research and pharmaceutical development. PRIVACY PROGRAM LEADERSHIP You will lead the global privacy program ensuring compliance with GDPR, US privacy laws, APAC privacy laws, LATAM privacy laws, and other applicable data protection regulations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing the company's global privacy program aligned with international regulations and corporate standards, overseeing privacy impact assessments, managing data breach response, and ensuring cross-border data transfer compliance. You will direct enterprise-wide privacy risk assessments, develop privacy programs and policies, implement privacy training programs, supervise the Privacy Operations Manager, and manage the external Data Protection Officer. GLOBAL ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE You will lead PMG's global ethics and compliance program including design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and continuous improvement. This encompasses anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance, including FCPA and UK Bribery Act requirements. You will develop and maintain global ethics and compliance policies addressing conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, charitable contributions, sponsorships, government interactions, and third-party engagements. You will manage risk-based due diligence, contracting, monitoring, and remediation for third parties, handle the intake and investigation of ethics and compliance concerns, monitor regulatory changes, develop compliance metrics, and promote a culture of integrity throughout the organization. You will supervise the Compliance Operations Manager. RISK MANAGEMENT AND REGULATORY ENGAGEMENT You will lead the company's global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process, conduct risk assessments, implement monitoring systems, and report on compliance metrics and trends to senior leadership and the General Counsel. You will serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities on privacy and compliance matters and stay ahead of evolving global regulations impacting the business. TRAINING, CULTURE, AND INCIDENT MANAGEMENT You will develop privacy training programs for employees globally, foster a culture of integrity and accountability, oversee investigations into privacy and compliance breaches, ensure timely remediation, and coordinate with internal Quality, IT, and legal teams on corrective actions. STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT You will develop a thorough understanding of PMG's business, people, services, markets, facilities, customers, and competitors to identify risk trends and formulate strategies. You will establish strong working relationships with management at all levels and perform special assignments as directed by the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. REQUIREMENTS - Law degree or equivalent advanced degree; certification in compliance or privacy (e.g., CCEP, CIPP/E) preferred - 10+ years of experience in privacy, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within CRO, pharma, or life sciences - Deep knowledge of global data privacy regulations (GDPR, APAC laws, HIPAA) - Demonstrated knowledge of global ethics and compliance requirements, including ABAC and FCPA compliance, third-party risk management, conflicts of interest, investigations, training, monitoring, and remediation - Experience designing, implementing, or operating privacy and ethics and compliance programs in life sciences or another highly regulated industry preferred - Previous experience in a regional leadership role in the life sciences sector - Significant experience with privacy and compliance risk assessments and analysis methodologies and building and scaling global privacy programs - Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
