You will lead the creation and scaling of two teams focused on making AI-assisted development accessible and efficient across the organization:
**AI Developer Experience Team:** Build tooling, agent workflows, testing infrastructure, and development environments that help engineers ship better software faster. You'll own AI development workflows that integrate AI agents into planning, implementation, testing, review, and delivery; provide coding agents with documentation and architectural context; build fast, reliable testing and validation for services and distributed systems; and improve cloud environments, CI/CD, and code review processes.
**AI Business Enablement Team:** Give non-technical employees (sales, go-to-market, business teams) the tools, training, and secure infrastructure to build and run useful apps and automations with AI. You'll create supported ways for business users to build internal applications using natural language and AI coding tools; partner with Security and IT on safe access to company systems and permissioned data; establish standards for testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance; and provide practical enablement through templates, training, and hands-on support.
**Your responsibilities:**
- Set clear strategy across both teams, balancing shared infrastructure with different user needs
- Lead and develop two managers; hire strong teams and maintain high technical and UX standards
- Stay hands-on with technology: evaluate tools, prototype workflows, make build-vs-buy decisions
- Drive adoption through useful products, strong defaults, and partnerships with Engineering, Security, IT, and business leaders
- Measure results through delivery cycle speed, software reliability, time saved, and tool adoption
- Continuously improve approaches as AI models and tools evolve
**Requirements:**
- 10+ years in software engineering and 4+ years leading engineering teams, including experience managing managers
- Hands-on AI experience with regular use of coding agents; demonstrated track record of changing how a team builds software with AI
- Strong platform fundamentals: experience building developer tooling, test infrastructure, or development platforms for complex systems
- Sound judgment about safe AI development: understanding of agent workflows, context, sandboxed environments, permissions, evaluation, and cost management
- Product mindset: ability to learn how people work, identify obstacles, and build tools they choose to use
- Ability to work credibly with senior engineers and help non-technical colleagues turn business problems into maintainable tools
- High standards for leadership: developing managers, giving direct feedback, making thoughtful talent decisions, staying close to the work
