Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 / annual

In this role, you will lead an electrical engineering team responsible for creating hardware solutions for vehicle management, digital signal processing (DSP), and networking. Your responsibilities include:
• Lead and manage an electrical engineering team focused on digital design
• Develop and improve workflows throughout the FPGA/HDL design cycle, including architecture definition, functional block specification, simulation, system testing, and HDL library standardization
• Independently review high-speed digital and compute-based designs
• Oversee the complete PCB development lifecycle for host boards supporting FPGAs, SoCs, and SoMs—from requirements development through schematic capture, board layout, bring-up, testing, and integration
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish strategy for delivering hardware and IP core solutions across Anduril
• Create, maintain, and communicate detailed product development schedules to ensure team members understand their tasks and deadlines
This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical expertise with team management. You will work on mission-critical defense systems where reliability, performance, and security are paramount.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs in military, automotive, or similar hardware environments
• Proven experience leading an electrical engineering team focused on digital design
• Proficiency in an HDL language (VHDL or Verilog)
• Familiarity with common FPGA, CPU, MCU, and GPU devices and technologies
• Familiarity with standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.)
• Experience in design for signal integrity and power integrity
• Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits
• Competence with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes) and test automation
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Understanding and familiarity with DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, DO-311A standards
• Understanding and familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461 standards
• Expertise in computer networking
• Experience implementing enhanced security measures
