As a DevOps Engineer II on the Platform Management team, you will oversee the health, scalability, and security of the cloud infrastructure supporting the platform. You will take hands-on responsibility for maintaining and evolving systems, services, and tools shared across engineering teams. Beyond infrastructure management, you will leverage deep cloud expertise to advise, coach, and assist engineering teams as they scale to meet growing customer demands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining comprehensive DevOps methodologies, continuous integration/delivery pipelines, and automation frameworks
- Managing cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) including compute, storage, networking, and serverless architectures
- Deploying and scaling applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Automating infrastructure setup and management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Establishing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, and similar tools
- Implementing monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, New Relic, or SignalFx
- Securing applications and infrastructure with IAM best practices and compliance controls
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions
- Improving developer workflows and platform performance through process optimization
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 6+ years of technology experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP
- Hands-on experience managing build tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/Terragrunt)
- Experience with Linux-based infrastructure
- Strong understanding of Ruby, Python, and Java
- Hands-on experience with log collection (EFK) and metric collection tools (New Relic, Prometheus/Grafana, SignalFx)
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservice architectures on public clouds
- Proven experience with operations, deployment, and security of multiple SaaS/B2C products
- Expert technical troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis capability
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coding skills
