The Platform function at Perk builds the foundational infrastructure, core services, and developer tooling that enable product teams to move fast while maintaining reliability, scalability, and security. This DevOps Engineer role is critical to the company's ability to deliver high-performing services.
In this position, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure in AWS. You'll enable development teams to own their systems and deliver high-impact products to users. You'll partner with SRE and security teams to help developers build resilient and secure applications, and participate in on-call and incident management as part of a "you build it, you run it" mentality.
Perk takes an IRL-first approach, with team members working together in-person 3 days per week. The role requires you to be based within commuting distance of the Barcelona hub. REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on experience managing systems in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.)
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration (Docker, ECS, etc.)
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Go, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
ADVANTAGEOUS:
- Comfortable working across a mostly Linux estate, with some exposure to Windows systems and .NET applications
- Experience with serverless architectures
- Experience with defining advanced cloud networking setups
- Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, or other compliance frameworks
