Salary: CAD 95,000 - 120,000 / annual
AppDirect is a global subscription platform that enables organizations to sell any product as a service across any channel and device, powering millions of subscriptions worldwide.
You will join the engineering team in Montreal to develop and evolve an integration ecosystem on the growing platform. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participate in designing and building systems capable of handling high transaction volumes
- Design, implement, and support scalable, fault-tolerant systems to minimize user impact from failures
- Contribute to the migration toward a microservices-based architecture
- Develop features across the full technology stack, from infrastructure and backend to data, frontend, and deployment
- Work collaboratively to unblock obstacles for colleagues and elevate team performance
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (L2–L3 level) for bounded programming tasks with review and delegation of routine feature-level work, while maintaining responsibility for design intent, test strategy, and code quality
The role emphasizes product-oriented thinking, full-stack capability, and the ability to balance when to go deep yourself versus when to bring in specialists. You will own solutions end-to-end and take pride in both writing professional-quality code and maintaining it post-deployment.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of relevant software development experience
- Fluent in French and English (written and oral)
- Expert-level PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Strong knowledge of web services, REST APIs, and GraphQL
- Proven ability to design and deliver complete solutions end-to-end
- Solid technical skills across infrastructure, backend, data, frontend, and deployment layers
- Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted development tools (L2–L3 proficiency)
- Product-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving approach
