Salary: CAD 95,000 - 120,000 / annual
AppDirect is a subscription platform that enables organizations worldwide to sell any product as a service across any channel and device, powering millions of subscriptions globally.
You will join as an intermediate fullstack software developer in Montreal, contributing to the design and evolution of an integration ecosystem on a growing platform. Your responsibilities will include:
• Participate in developing and evolving an integration ecosystem with expanding use cases and extensibility domains
• Design and build systems capable of handling high transaction volumes
• Design, implement, and support scalable, fault-tolerant systems to minimize user impact from failures
• Contribute to migration efforts toward a microservices-based architecture
You will work in a collaborative environment focused on creating value through innovative solutions. The role requires a fullstack technical mindset with passion for producing maintainable, robust code. You will be expected to own solutions end-to-end and collaborate effectively with specialists when deep expertise is needed. You should demonstrate solid foundational skills with continuous growth capacity across infrastructure, backend, data, frontend, and delivery domains—mastery of all areas on day one is not expected.
The role involves L2–L3 AI-assisted development: daily use of programming agents for bounded tasks with review (L2) and delegation of routine feature-level work (L3), while remaining responsible for design intent, test strategy, and code quality.
Note: This role requires strong English proficiency as you will collaborate with teams in the US, India, Argentina, Ontario, and Alberta.
**Requirements:**
• Fluency in French and English (written and oral)
• Product-oriented approach
• Experience developing solutions in multiple programming languages
• Strong proficiency in Java (or other JVM languages), JavaScript, and MySQL
• Knowledge of web services technologies and REST API and GraphQL development
• Demonstrated ability to write, deploy, and maintain professional-quality code
• Capability to work across the full technical stack and collaborate effectively with specialists; solid foundational skills with demonstrated capacity for continuous growth in infrastructure, backend, data, frontend, and delivery domains
• Proven ability to build and deliver complete end-to-end solutions
• 3 years of relevant experience
