MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform used by 13,000+ customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo to manage 13.9 million assets and 79.5 million work orders annually. The Core team builds the heart of MaintainX's maintenance management system (CMMS): work orders, planning and scheduling, inventory and parts management, reporting, and asset hierarchy. This team is home to recent strategic investments, including two newly formed teams developing a work execution platform and reimagining the technician experience. You will join one of several specialized teams: Planners (workflow and scheduling), Inventory/Parts (spare parts, purchase orders, forecasting), Dashboard/Reporting (overview screens and scheduled reports), Work Execution Platform (work order fundamentals: recurrence, assignment, scheduling, procedures, automations, permits), Technician Experience (GPS logging, field UX, offline mode), or Enterprise Data Management (multi-site capabilities, asset models, hierarchy, dynamic forms). Key responsibilities: - Design and improve workflows customers use daily, from planning through parts management to reporting. - Solve complex technical problems: data-dense interfaces, large datasets, offline functionality, multi-site scalability. - Shape architecture and engineering practices in newly formed teams from the ground up. - Simplify complex workflows across desktop and mobile. - Ship end-to-end features from planning to production. - Collaborate directly with product managers and designers to define team roadmaps, not just execute them. - Own the long-term health of a functional domain or system: reliability, performance, code quality. - Review code and mentor other developers. - Raise the bar on tooling, testing, and delivery practices. Tech stack: TypeScript, React, Node.js, MySQL (some teams use C# or Python). You'll join a team of 5–10 people and participate in on-call rotations. Within six months, you'll own a functional domain or system. Work location: No minimum office presence required, but teams are preferred near business centers. In Canada: Montreal or Toronto. Requirements: - Minimum 5 years professional experience in full-stack web or mobile product development. - Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js. - Experience in mobile-first, responsive, iterative development. - Proven track record writing maintainable, testable code you're comfortable handing off. - Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical tradeoffs to designers, support leads, and other developers. - Comfort progressing on problems before specs are fully defined, adapting as you learn. - Daily use of AI tools in your development workflow, not just occasional experiments. Desirable: GraphQL, React Native, or SQL database experience. Also valued: experience with scheduling/calendar UIs, data-heavy interfaces, offline-first or sync architectures, multi-tenant or enterprise platforms, workflow engines, or inventory/transaction management systems.
