Salary: USD 123,000 - 172,000 / annual

The Filling & Saving team builds and maintains the core experience for filling and saving data online, setting the standard in password management and building unified sign-in capabilities across platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work with Product, Design, and QA teams internally as well as the open-source community to advance the filling and saving experience.
1Password is thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle. Engineers use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, while maintaining clear principles, human accountability, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
In this role, you will code, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software systems for new and existing product features. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases. You'll mentor junior and new team members by providing technical guidance, sharing knowledge, and engaging in pair programming. You'll participate in planning by identifying major tasks, breaking down work, and estimating timelines. You'll write comprehensive tests during various stages of the development cycle and review code to maintain high quality and support a safe feedback environment. You'll generate and review documentation on code processes to ensure scalability, stay informed about industry trends and best practices, and be available for on-call rotational work to resolve emergencies.

Remote work is part of 1Password's DNA since its founding in 2005. REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React
- Demonstrated drive for and experience with software development best practices and coding standards
- Proven ability to tackle complex problems and propose effective solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience working effectively with teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional partners
- Passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure high-quality code
BONUS:
- Experience building and maintaining browser extensions for Chromium, Firefox, and/or Safari
- Experience with Rust, Go, or related languages
- Experience with Web APIs such as DOM features, Navigation API, and IndexedDB API
