Brex is an intelligent finance platform enabling companies to spend smarter across 200+ markets. The platform combines corporate cards, banking, spend management, bill pay, and travel software with AI-native automation to help founders and finance teams accelerate operations and control spend. As a Developer Support Specialist, you'll be the front-line technical contact supporting external developers using Brex's comprehensive API suite. This hybrid role bridges external developers and Brex's internal engineering, product, and design teams. You'll work directly with developers to advise on best practices, improve self-serve documentation, and investigate technical issues. You'll also partner with internal teams to triage complex escalations, close feedback loops, and drive product improvements based on developer insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include: - Providing direct technical support to developers using Brex APIs, ensuring high satisfaction - Collaborating with engineering, product, and design teams to capture and act on developer feedback - Owning customer escalation calls and email queues as needed - Creating and maintaining training materials, customer resources, and guides for self-service support - Fielding technical escalations from the Support team and tracking engineering tickets to resolution - Serving as a trusted expert on Brex's ERP integrations (NetSuite, QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero, Sage Intacct, Expensify, Concur, CoupaPay, Conferma, Workday, Oracle Fusion, etc.), working directly with customers, CSMs, and CX teams This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their engineering career to work closely with developers and gain exposure to fintech infrastructure. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience - Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills - Customer-centric attitude with strong communication skills (written and verbal) to explain complex technical issues - Ability to maintain high standards for yourself and your team - Prior experience in a customer-facing role (technical or non-technical) - Experience working with accounting integrations such as NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, and Xero Bonus qualifications: - Understanding of financial systems and services - Familiarity with programming languages - Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases - Experience with REST or GraphQL API calls - Familiarity with software engineering development cycles - Experience with tools such as Looker, Datadog, Salesforce, Jira, Retool, or low-code/no-code platforms
